Our Psychotherapy Healing Space brings you a wide range of skill sets, experiences, and services. Our established and well-grounded therapists have been serving communities for several years and are also the teachers for our younger therapists.

What is counselling?

The delegates at the American Counselling Association Conference in Pittsburgh in 2010 agreed on the following definition:

“Counselling is a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.”

In 2013, the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy coined the definition of counselling/psychotherapy as:

“Counselling and psychotherapy are umbrella terms that cover a range of talking therapies. They are delivered by trained practitioners who work with people over a short or long term to help them bring about effective change and/or enhance their wellbeing”.

Why counselling helps

Counselling is about empowering people to make their own healthy choices in life and not only for people with mental health problems. Counselling is a private space where you may voice all that you usually keep hidden. It is your gift to yourself.

Counselling is not about giving solutions to clients, nor about giving advice. It is rather about helping clients to make sense of their current situation within their own framework of understanding. Counselling is good for all people, but especially for those who want to explore opportunities and make effective changes in their life. It is a place where you can take stock of your life and reflect on where you come from and where you are going to. The forest of our Psychotherapy Healing Space is a space where you can rest and share. In this space you give us the privilege of witnessing your growth. In this space you start loving and appreciating yourself.
